Netball Victoria currently manages umpire education programs which are aimed to service all levels of umpiring from beginners through to the national level.

Introduction to Umpiring Workshop

The Introduction to Umpiring Workshop caters for anyone who is interested in becoming an umpire and for players and coaches who want to cover basic rules, positioning and areas of control.  It is a great course to attend prior to undertaking practical umpiring.

Our Umpire Convenor will let you know when LYVNA are hosting the next workshop.

Section 1 Theory Exam

Prerequisite for a C Badge and a Development Coaching accreditation.

The Section 1 Theory Exam is a free online exam that takes approximately one hour to complete.

Level 1 Umpiring Course

The Level 1 is a prerequisite for “C” grade testing.

The Level 1 course is nationally accredited and is open to all, from beginners to those who are currently umpiring and aiming to be tested for their C badge.  You should wear comfortable, loose clothing and runners, bring your whistle and Official Rules of Netball booklet with you.
